Custom domains.

Point your own domain (like mybrand.com) at any site, verify DNS, and get HTTPS automatically.

Custom domains

By default your site lives at yourname.example.com/your-site. You can also point your own domain — for example mybrand.com — at any site. Your site stays reachable on its normal subdomain too; both addresses work at the same time.

Add a custom domain

  1. Open your site and click Domain.
  2. Enter your domain (for example mybrand.com). The www. prefix is handled automatically — one entry covers both mybrand.com and www.mybrand.com.
  3. Confirm. Adding a domain may require a one-time fee*.

The domain is now pending verification. Nothing is live yet — the next step points the domain at the server.

Point your DNS at the server

At your domain registrar (where you bought the domain), add one DNS record:

Type Name Value
A @ (or mybrand.com) The server IP shown on the Domain page

DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to spread worldwide.

Verify and go live

  1. Return to the Domain page and click Verify.
  2. The system checks that your DNS is set up correctly.
  3. Once verified, the domain is provisioned and HTTPS is issued automatically.

If verification fails, double-check the A record and try again later — DNS propagation is the most common cause. If SSL is still pending after a while, use the Retry SSL button.

Remove a domain

Open the Domain page and remove the domain. Removing it does not refund the one-time fee, and the domain stops serving immediately.

Good to know

  • One custom domain per site.
  • Your subdomain address keeps working — both URLs serve the same site.
  • If HTTPS shows as failed, try Retry SSL; failed domains are also retried automatically once a day.

* May require additional fees — check your dashboard for the current pricing.
